Inside the NICU

A best-selling author lends support to our NICU

You may wonder what connection Jennifer Robson, best-selling author of Somewhere in France and After the War is Over, has to our NICU. Her niece (and my daughter) was born here 9 years ago. Not only did she offer us incredible support during our hospital stay, but ever since then she has taken every opportunity to give back to the place that helped her family.

Her second book was just released on Tuesday and is already on the historical fiction best-seller list! She will be officially marking the launch of After the War is Over tomorrow, and all the profits from books sold at the launch will be donated to our NICU. She has chosen to support an existing NICU fund that was founded by one of our graduate families to honour their son Khalil.

We are all incredibly grateful, and I in particular am both grateful and proud. Grateful because at every step of the way, whenever we needed her, Jen has been right there with us. Proud because I have seen her work so hard and do so incredibly well in such a challenging and competitive field.

Jen: thank you for supporting our NICU and the work that we do with your book launch. Thank you for being a wonderful sister, sister-in-law, niece and friend. Your books are beautiful, and so is your kind and loving heart. See you tomorrow!
