Thank you Dr. Nancy Durand for writing on this topic! The more we talk about it, the more women can feel free to bring it up instead of staying quiet in shame. Though I was willing to talk about my own persistent painful sex I had a hard time finding health care practitioners who could make sense of it. After my healing journey I created a DVD guide (along with a team of professionals) for women with chronic pelvic, genital, and sexual pain and how to heal the pain 'down there'. The website is full of resources www.paindownthere.com and we also wrote a blog on causes of painful sex: http://www.paindownthere.com/blog/causes-of-painful-sex

Thanks again!
