Like many people, I’ve never been a fan of needles. For the first three decades of my life, I would almost always pass out if I had to get an immunization or blood drawn. Some people are so fearful that they may avoid needles – or necessary medical procedures – altogether. While few would ever say needles are fun, how can they be made a bit more bearable?
I took this question to a registered nurse who literally sees thousands of patients every year. Her advice is surprisingly simple but effective. Watch my video to see what she has to say! Hopefully it helps you and your family get through the flu shot or an upcoming immunization or medical appointment.
By the way, I find that tip one works wonders for me. And thanks to tip two, my kids actually look forward to any shots they need to get. If you have any techniques that work for you, feel free to share!
